Thank you for working on this and hope it stabilizes soon. Moving popular files closer to users is just a good idea.

I agree, this is a great idea to keep power among the average internet users.

Am I right in also supposing by caching files, the files will thus be easier for the IA to archive them? ;-)

FreeCache is less about archiving, but it has a positive effect there, than it is about speeding the delivery of large files. There is a bottleneck for our large files on our website and we hope that FreeCache can allow us to effectively distribute several times more files than we can afford at the moment.
